Where do I start with Bridget and Jimmy? First off, I knew from the moment that I met them that they had an incredible bond, friendship and love…. and that is one of my favorite parts of my job.. to be able to continue to witness the love between my couples throughout some of the best days of their lives while planning their wedding!!

When they came to me they had thought they were going to wait until Spring of 2014 to get married, but soon after looking at venues they landed on October 26th, 2013 which meant that we needed to plan the wedding in 10 months. For some clients that would be difficult but when you are as organized and as good at making decisions as Bridget and Jimmy are… it is easy 🙂

They decided on Minikahda Club for their ceremony and reception and I feel like that choice was PERFECT for them. If I could sum up these two in a few words it would be Classic, Elegant and Timeless.. just like the Minikahda Club!

The team of vendors on this wedding were incredible and I owe all of these lovely images to Wing from Canary Grey! She has been friends with Bridget and Jim for a few years and that made her connection to the photos and the day of the wedding even more meaningful!! Congratulations to Bridget and Jim and may you have MANY more years of timeless love!!

When I think of Ally and Joe I think of LOVE.. The kind of love that you know will last a lifetime and many miles. When I first met Ally she was attending Harvard for her Masters Degree all while trying to plan a wedding back home in Minnesota. Joe and Ally had spent lots of time apart while Joe was in Graduate school in Chicago and now when Ally had moved out East for school. Everytime they were together you could just tell they loved to spend time together! Thank god for Ally’s wonderful Mother Mary Kay who not only attended all of our meetings together but was a huge part of our planning team for over a year! Ally is so smart (obviously HARVARD Smart) and she was very detailed in what she wanted her wedding to look like! Joe lived in Minnesota and was a big part of our planning process as well! Every time that Ally came home we headed out to tackle her wedding meetings and they never seemed like work.. I really loved hanging out with Ally and Mary Kay and I felt like I was part of the family!!

Joe is Mexican and it was very important to incorporate his culture into the wedding. The whole design started with the invitations that Ally found online… a beautiful laser cut design that mimicked the design on traditional Mexican Papel Picado’s. This was a look that we brought into numerous pieces of the stationary as well as custom Papel Picado’s that were designed with Ally and Joe’s names and wedding date.  Bright colors filled Nicollet Island Pavillion and centerpieces varied from Mexican lanterns with candles, large purple and orange floral arrangements and Mexican cans filled with succulents. We incorporated Mexican hand painted tiles on vases at the reception and as table numbers. A Marachi Band set the tone of the cocktail hour while guests drank signature drinks, snacked on “tacones” and took in the sites of the beautiful Nicollet Island Pavillion

Ally and Joe had their favorite Chicago band come to Minneapolis for the reception and they were amazing!!! The night ended with a breakfast burrito bar!! Thank you to Ally and Joe (and Mary Kay) for involving me in such a fun year of planning!! Here is to many more adventures to you both!!

What a fun day to relive!! Mindy and Ryan are probably two of the sweetest people I have ever met! They are high school sweethearts that are so in love and full of energy, love and NEVER stop smiling 🙂 Family and Friends are a big part of their lives and it was such an honor helping them plan their big day… right along with both of their moms!! I love getting to help pull together my bride’s vision for the day.. and NOTHING brings me more joy on the day of the wedding then seeing her face when she first sees the reception space! Mindy’s face was documented by the wonderful photographer Matt Lien Photography and I will forever be grateful for that moment! Mindy, Tracy, Debbi and Ryan all have impeccable taste as you can tell by the choices in Linens and Floral! Central Lutheran Church provided a beautiful backdrop for the traditional ceremony. Guests then headed to the Calhoun Beach Club for cocktail hour and a fantastic party!! Acrylic Menus, Ice Luge’s, Mirrored signs and lots and lots of blooms by Just Bloomed created a fun atmosphere to celebrate Mindy and Ryan’s Marriage!!

Mindy and Ryan.. I miss talking to you everyday.. I hope that your first few months of being a newlywed have been full of lots and lots of love!!

Angela was a DREAM bride (I miss you so much Angela!!) She was the type of bride that knew what she wanted and really hired great vendors to carry through her vision!! Angela and Phil planned their wedding from Texas and it was held on a gorgeous September day here in Minnesota!!

This blog post seems VERY appropriate now that the weather is starting to get chilly!!! I was lucky enough to help Lindsay and Toby with their January wedding and it was chilly outside and warm and cozy inside the Landmark Center!! Andrew Vick of course did a fantastic job capturing the moments of the day (complete with the groomsmen playing baseball) and Jackie from Just Bloomed warmed up the white and sparkly decor inside the venue!!! Lindsay and Toby not only were fantastic to work with but it was fun getting to know their loving families throughout the process!!!!

Happy (Just About) Anniversary Toby and Lindsay! I hope that your first year has been as wonderful as your wedding!!!

I know that I have wrote about Jenna and Jesse’s wedding NUMEROUS times now.. but if you can not tell I love this wedding and I had to share the amazing professional images from Lauren Kirkbride Photography she made an already gorgeous wedding look even better!!! I am BEYOND blessed to work with couples Like Jenna and Jesse and their families! They have a “Can-Do” attitude and when faced with an obstacle they tackled it head on. For example, Jenna LOVED the farm tables and even when they were not locally available she decided she had to have them… SO she found a group of students to make them for their shop project!!
