Oh I am so happy to be blogging again!! We are just wrapping up the busy wedding season and what a BEAUTIFUL wedding season it has been!! I can not wait to show you everything that we have done!!!! One of my favorites (I have so many favorites this year!!) Has to be Kaley and Matt’s Pink Ombre Wedding!! I love this wedding because Kaley was not afraid to take chances.. she put all of her trust in our team of vendors and it worked!!! It was blingy, pink and exactly Kaley (and Matt was just fine with that !)
I was So excited to work with Todd from Bungalow Six. This man is amazing.. his imagination does some pretty amazing things!!! And all of this was captured by the amazing Maribeth from Red Ribbon Studios!!! Every vendor for this wedding was amazing and helped to create a VERY memorable day!!

Lexie and JT were married at the historic Mill City Museum on a beautiful August Summer Day!

The couple chose the industrial Mill City Museum for their wedding because they loved the location and the history of the venue. They had guests flying in from all over the country to attend their wedding and they wanted to make the whole day easy for their wedding guests.

Blush floral and navy sequence linens helped soften the look of the very industrial wedding venue. The couples love for animals was apparent throughout the whole planning process so it was only right to include them in the design with custom dog cocktail napkins and a guest book sign!

The Sunsets at Mill City are some of the best in Minnesota and I am glad that Lucas was able to capture so many beautiful photos at the end of the day!

Ashley and Dave were married in August at the Machine Shop in Minneapolis! The venue was perfect for this New York couple looking for something more unique for their ceremony and reception! It was very convinent that Ashley’s parents also do live across the street from the Machine Shop!!!

Since Ashley and Dave live in New York we planned most of this wedding over emails, phone calls and two big planning trips into town!! When it came time to plan decor, we knew we wanted to bring in some colorful floral and the best way to do that seemed to be suspending it over the ceremony and reception site. Thank you to Munster Rose for not only going along with this labor intensive task of hanging floral… but for also spending hours and hours working on building structures, testing logistics and creating a plan to move the floral in an hour for a room flip!!!  Thank you to all of the vendors that made this day come together!!

Bright, Beautiful and SO Summery… Just looking at Dana and Brandon’s Wedding photos makes me want to go back to this PERFECT June Day in Stillwater!! I am the type of person that is a little intimidated with color. I tend to live in a pewter world; but when it is peony season I can COMPLETELY get behind lots of bold and bright colors and it was SO much fun to get to help Dana and Brandon design and plan their big day!!!

When we toured JX Event Venue it was still a construction site, but we knew from the minute we walked in that it was perfect for the fun and festive feel that Dana and Brandon wanted for their big day.  Sadie’s Couture Flowers and Events spent at least NINE long hours hanging floral pieces and designs from all of the exposed beams to add a whimsy element to an already lovely space!! The staff at JX Event Venue was unbelievable! I am so happy that we have a few more weddings booked there next year!

I have had the pleasure of knowing the wonderful CLARK family for years and I am so honored to plan all 3 of their daughters weddings! They are a FUN family that not only has great style, but they really trust all of their vendors to make their vision come together!  There are plenty of times that I am describing “fun ideas” and I realize that clients have no idea what I am envisioning, until they see it on their wedding day and luckily for me.. they are always very happy with the finished product!!!  Thank you for always trusting me and for letting me be apart of your family!! This past August marked Lasting Impressions 10th year in business, I am so lucky and fortunate to do what I love every single day!! My favorite part of weddings continues to be the couples and families I get to work with and the traditions that each culture has for their special day!!! Ayesha and Josh were a special couple… neither one of them ever lived in Minnesota, they just chose Minneapolis as the location for their wedding because we were centrally located and easy to get to for most of the guests coming in from Michigan, New York, Japan and India! What an honor it was to plan an event for guests that were traveling such large distances to come and celebrate!! I love so many things about Hindu Weddings… The traditions, the colors, the clothes and more then anything… the importance of family!! Congratulations Josh and Ayesha.. I hope that New York is treating you well 🙂
