Jessica and Trey were married on a beautiful day on Lake Minnetonka at the Lafayette Club. The club had special meaning to Jessica and Trey beause she was a member there and her parents live on the lake very close to the club. The weather on this May day could not have been a better way to kick of Memorial Day weekend and their wedding! Blue skies and sunshine filled the tent as Jessica and Trey had their very personal ceremony in front of their friends and family!

Personal elements were everywhere in this wedding.. We incorporated the bride and groom’s love of hunting into the favors with duck calls.. Photos of the couple adorned the unique placecard table and the night was full of heartfelt speeches! But the everlasting memory I will have about Jessica and Trey was there love for each other. We planned the whole wedding in about 9 months and throughout the planning process Jessica and Trey did not let the little things get to them… they just knew they wanted to be married and start their life together… and when you have a outlook like that…the wedding planning process is a lot of fun!!

If you have been paying attention to our Instagram or Facebook pages you can see that we were really busy this past weekend with a beautiful Lake Minnetonka Wedding!! As a sneek peak the wonderful Janelle Elise Photography sent me some images to share!! It was a beautiful day celebrating this fantastic couple and family!!

A wedding takes a combination of vendors to make it successful.. a backyard tent wedding takes an ARMY of dedicated vendors to make it special… and this one was no exception. I saw Katiee (my Apres Sales Representative) Out at the tent location last week every single one of the 4 days that the tent was getting put up… that is dedication!!

Cheri and Jeff were not only so much fun to work with because of their love for each other, but they are also engineers and I got to learn about the wedding planning process through a whole other set of eyes! They were meticulous on the detailing of the invitations, making sure that the colors were all incorporated perfectly and that the day flowed seamless.. This was a quality that I not only loved.. But I also felt so honored that they chose me to help create their special day! Cheri and Jeff lived in Boston when we started our wedding planning and with job changes they moved to California during the last months of our planning.. This not only made having a wedding planner handy for them , but crucial! Cheri and Jeff made it back to Minnesota just a few times during they’re planning to pick out all of their decor, taste their delicious food and nail down all of the logistics.

We took the flowers off of Cheri’s dress as the main inspiration for the design of the wedding, incorporate the subtle floral design into the invitations, cake, and day of stationery! We wanted to incorporate a unique table scape for their small and intimate wedding that featured some really fun elements such as leaves that were colored purple and gold, and bright and bold floral designs.
The couples love of nature was clear throughout the details including river rocks that the guests signed in lieu of a guest book and Tables named after the couples favorite lakes.
Cheri and Jeff changed into  traditional Chinese dress for their entrance into the reception to honor her heritage and then following the cake cutting the couple disappeared to change back into their dress clothes for a dramatic and choreographed dance they had been working on for months!

 Tina and Kory were not only an adorable couple, but they were always VERY hands on with planning their wedding. Tina was on top of every cute trend and little touch that would take their wedding from a great event to a VERY memorable wedding.. and the little details were everywhere!! Kory was not only very supportive of Tina’s vision, but was very hands on with setting up the elements on the wedding day!! This was a wedding that the whole family pitched in every chance they could and it was really an intimate wedding that included their adored pets, the friends who served as part of the “non-wedding party” and their close friends and family! This was a wedding with no shortage of food… The cocktail hour kicked off with passed appetizers, followed by a fabulous buffet meal by Deco Catering and then they had wedding cake, dessert bar, candy bar and late night smores station at the bonfire pit!!

Chanel and Micheal had been planning their wedding for a few years when the big day finally arrived and they were so happy to finally just be married!!!! I met Chanel and Mike after they had already picked out the Woods Chapel and the Lafayette Club and I had a lot of fun combining their personal style with the venues to create a very unique,elegant and botanical wedding!! Chanel and Mike love the outdoors and we wanted to bring that style into the classic venue of the Lafayette Club!
Succulents, candleabras and Table Numbers die cut into the shape of MN tied everything together perfectly!

Megan and Tommy’s wedding is near and dear to my heart.. not only did I love getting to know Megan, Tommy and Pam (the amazing mother of the bride that was VERY Organized!!) But Megan’s parents are from my same hometown.. and considering that is a town of 4,000 people.. that does not happen everyday that you run into someone from that area!!!

Megan and Tommy were married on a beautiful August day at Lafayette Club in Minnetonka! They were one of the first ceremonies that was held in the clubs new ceremony location (so excited to be able to host outdoor ceremonies there!!) Tommy’s background in architecture made him a big part of the decor planning process and he personally designed the save the dates, invitations and the design that we used on the head table linen!! We wanted to create a clean/modern design in a very classic venue with bright summer colors!!! Megan and her mother worked side by side with me planning the rest of the details of the big day that was complete with a boat cruise for the wedding party right after the ceremony, lots of wonderful live musicians and LOTS of great food from Lafayette Club and Cocoa and Fig!!!

Congratulations Megan and Tommy… Here is to a lifetime of Happiness!!
