Amanda and Patrick’s wedding was beyond words beautiful for a couple that have been together since high school and have so much love for everyone around them! When I first got the call about helping Amanda and Patrick my first thoughts were “I dont know if I can plan a wedding in La Crosse Wisconsin.. I know nothing about that area.” But because it was a referral from a very great vendor friend (Thanks Chrissy!) I thought I at least talk to Amanda and see if I thought I could be of service.
Immediately I fell in love with Amanda and Patrick… Their attention to detail, their openness and their love for their friends and family all hooked me and I knew that I needed to be apart of this wedding!! Most of our planning was done via email and over the phone, but I enjoyed every one of my early morning trips to Wisconsin that turned all of our ideas in our head into reality and with every visit the plans became more and more real and soon enough we were creating this stunning backyard tent wedding.
This wedding was much more to me then a beautiful celebration.. It was a time to test myself. After planning 800 weddings, I feel like I have gotten pretty good at it.. but I sometimes miss the excitement of something new.. or a new way to challenge myself… and I got that by planning this beautiful and logistically complicated wedding while being 3 hours away.
I have been asked about this wedding numerous times by different vendors, my friends and family and the first thing that I tell them about this wedding is that it was all about Trust!! I thank Amanda and Patrick for trusting me not only with their wedding day. I thank all of the amazing vendors that we had on board for trusting me and coming together to create a rock solid team! With that I will be done rambling and let you enjoy these beautiful photos!!

Jamie and Tim’s wedding was the perfect kick-off to fall!!! This Fall wedding color palette was full of burgandys, greens, Navy and all of the colors that make me want to cuddle up with a blanket and a book!! The only thing that did not feel like fall was the actual weather!!! This October wedding was the first snowfall of the year and we all had a big laugh! Jamie is from Texas and a large part of our wedding guests had traveled in from all over the world… and Minnesota greeted them with the first snowfall of the year!!!
Luckily Jamie and Tim embraced the weather and were able to snag a few beautiful photos in the fresh snow! Guests warmed up quickly during the reception with signature cocktails that featured the Minnesota Mule (In Honor of Tim), the Texas Mule (In honor of Jamie) and the Irish Mule (a nod to Jamie and Tim’s Norte Dame Roots 🙂 We tried to incorporate as many personal elements as we could into the celebration. Dance Floor props featuring numerous Norte Dame elements, Minnesota Apple Pies for the place cards and Personally embroidered napkins for each guest. YES, you heard me right!!! Jamie’s mother embroidered every guests initials on their own keepsake napkin!!

Lauryn and Tommy’s JX Event Center wedding was the perfect “kick-off” to wedding season in March!!!! There was just enough snow on the ground for perfect photos, yet spring was on the way and Lauryn’s choice of bridesmaids dresses made everyone really crave the spring temperatures!!!
JX Event Center was a great backdrop for our elegant chandeliers, greenery and beautiful lilac flowers and linens!! Lake Elmo Inn is one of my favorite caterers and every time we get to go over to the East Side of the cities I am always so excited to get to use their catering services!!

Jimmy and Lindsay’s wedding day was such a memorable and special day and we are lucky that Alma Films was there to capture this Hutton House Wedding Video! Lindsay and Jimmy transformed Hutton House into a winter wonderland… bringing in Evergreen Trees and adding lots of holiday touches! Just before the ceremony the snow started and it resulted into beautiful photos and a memory I will never forget!

Hutton House Winter Wedding
Lindsay and Jimmy were married on a Magical December Day at the Minneapolis Event Venue, Hutton House!! Now, I have never wished for snow, especially not on a wedding day. But the timing of the snow on December 1st could not have been more perfect!! Right before the wedding ceremony the brown grass started to get covered and soon enough we had a perfect white blanket that was captured perfectly by Janelle Elise.
Inside Hutton House the atmosphere was warm, cozy and all about celebrating the love of Jimmy and Lindsay. Evergreen trees, hundreds of candles and a fresh blanket of snow outside made for the perfect night!
