I have been waiting for so long to blog about this wedding… When you combine a completely trusting bride, amazing vendors and a great couple.. Here is what you get… One of the best wedding I have ever been able to plan! Not only were Anna and Chas the nicest people you will ever meet.. but Anna just let me run with all of the crazy ideas that I had swirling in my head (and on my Pinterest Board 🙂 And here is what we got… a wedding that was designed based on a fun floral pattern that we saw online.. and we incorporated that into custom placemats, vases and a FLORAL RUNNER for the head table!! Lemon’s also made quite the tie into the event because Chas’s last name was Lemon.. and I never stopped incorporating that into the design!!!!

Cheri and Jeff were not only so much fun to work with because of their love for each other, but they are also engineers and I got to learn about the wedding planning process through a whole other set of eyes! They were meticulous on the detailing of the invitations, making sure that the colors were all incorporated perfectly and that the day flowed seamless.. This was a quality that I not only loved.. But I also felt so honored that they chose me to help create their special day! Cheri and Jeff lived in Boston when we started our wedding planning and with job changes they moved to California during the last months of our planning.. This not only made having a wedding planner handy for them , but crucial! Cheri and Jeff made it back to Minnesota just a few times during they’re planning to pick out all of their decor, taste their delicious food and nail down all of the logistics.

We took the flowers off of Cheri’s dress as the main inspiration for the design of the wedding, incorporate the subtle floral design into the invitations, cake, and day of stationery! We wanted to incorporate a unique table scape for their small and intimate wedding that featured some really fun elements such as leaves that were colored purple and gold, and bright and bold floral designs.
The couples love of nature was clear throughout the details including river rocks that the guests signed in lieu of a guest book and Tables named after the couples favorite lakes.
Cheri and Jeff changed into  traditional Chinese dress for their entrance into the reception to honor her heritage and then following the cake cutting the couple disappeared to change back into their dress clothes for a dramatic and choreographed dance they had been working on for months!

From the minute I spoke to Arah and Doug, I knew that I wanted to be their wedding planner and that we were going to have a lot of fun!!! Most of our planning was done via email because they lived in Nebraska (another reason that I loved them… Go Huskers!!) But even with the distance I felt like I knew exactly what Arah and Doug were trying to achieve with the look of their wedding and the right vendors to make that look and feel come to life!! They choose to get married in January in Minnesota (CRAZY, I know..) but with lots of out of town guests a venue like Windows on Minnesota made perfect sense to not only have a hotel attached to the venue, but also to showcase Minneapolis to all of their guests!!

Arah and Doug always thought about others before themselves and they wanted to make the wedding day a fun party for all of their guests. The gold and black theme was not only elegant, but we also tried to capture some of the New Years Eve excitement and wanted everything to sparkle 🙂 The personal touches were everywhere… Charley, the couples puppy was not only part of the wedding ceremony, but we also featured his cute little silhouette on the postage stamps and on small details on the invitation! We welcomed all of the out of town guests with Minnesota Out of town bags featuring all of our favorite MN Treats! Arah and Doug brought a little bit of Nebraska into the mix… Lemon Fresh Day entertained all of the wedding guests well into the night… the band was AMAZING.. and I cant wait to see them again soon!!!

 Tina and Kory were not only an adorable couple, but they were always VERY hands on with planning their wedding. Tina was on top of every cute trend and little touch that would take their wedding from a great event to a VERY memorable wedding.. and the little details were everywhere!! Kory was not only very supportive of Tina’s vision, but was very hands on with setting up the elements on the wedding day!! This was a wedding that the whole family pitched in every chance they could and it was really an intimate wedding that included their adored pets, the friends who served as part of the “non-wedding party” and their close friends and family! This was a wedding with no shortage of food… The cocktail hour kicked off with passed appetizers, followed by a fabulous buffet meal by Deco Catering and then they had wedding cake, dessert bar, candy bar and late night smores station at the bonfire pit!!

On snowy days like today like to remember the hot days of summer!! Katerena and Dan were married in a traditional Greek ceremony on a beautiful (and hot) August day!!! Katerena and her mother were the masterminds in planning this beautifully classic wedding, with a slight twist and bright pop of coral that was inspired by the bridesmaids dresses!!

We wanted there to be a lot of personal touches in the wedding and with Greek Culture that is easy to do… Crowns on a Silver Tray for the ceremony, Jordan Almonds for the favors and wonderful Greek Desserts for the reception. We also wanted to tie in Katerena and Dan’s honeymoon destination.. The Greek Islands… so every table was named after a different island! A staple of the greek culture is fantastic dancing and lots of food, and we had both!!! The party was kicked off by the traditional greek circle dance and the party lasted well into the evening!
