It is no secret that I love everything Tropical. My house is filled with Palm trees, I dream about beaches and the new trend of incorporating tropical designs into your wardrobe is something I can really get excited about!! So when Lindsay told me that she wanted to incorporate a tropical feel into her wedding… I knew I found the perfect design match!!! Lindsay and Javier live in New York, so most of our planning was done via email and on a few well planned trips back to Minnesota. We wanted to create a wedding design that was fun, unique and modern enough to match the McNamara Alumni Center.
When we started to plan this wedding, Tropical designs were just starting to show up as a trend. I was so excited when Lindsay trusted the vision and could envision how lovely this could all be together. Sadies Floral transformed the venue into a Tropical paradise. The Theme was complete with the Paper Rock Scissors stationery suite, the boxwood escort card holder and the beautiful Damico Catering Cake Design.

Caitlin and Micheal’s beautiful April wedding day was held at two of my favorite locations… The Basilica of St. Mary and Aria in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Both are classic wedding venues and gave this wedding a beautiful and intimate feel. Caitlin knew exactly what she wanted for the design of the wedding. The chandeliers and dripping orchids made a big statement in Aria. The wedding guests danced the night away with one of my favorite bands.. Blue Water Kings. As you can see from the photos, the weather really cooperated on this sunny wedding day and Cadence and Eli were able to capture some beautiful shots!
Congratulations Caitlin and Micheal! It was a joy to get to know you!

We began and ended our 2017 wedding season at the Machine Shop and what a great a way to end such a fun wedding season! I was lucky enough to have coordinated Kira’s Sister’s wedding a few years ago.. so I was ecstatic to get the email from Kira that she was also getting married and needed some help!! When she contacted me she already had a few of her key vendors booked and just needed assistance pulling together a lot of her design ideas and making sure that everything flowed well throughout the day!
Like alot of our 2017 couples.. Kira and Max loved the colorful and soft touch that greenery brought to the venue and we incorporated alot of greenery in the table decor as well as on the stationery! Andrew Vick brought his usual energy to the rainy day to make sure that even the weather would not put a damper on the day!

I just found out that Rachelle and Pete’s wedding was featured in Dainty Obessions Magazine this month… what an honor to be in such a great publication!!
Rachelle and Pete were married on a beautiful (and Seasonly WARM) September Sunday at Bloom Lake Barn in Shafer, Minnesota. I was very excited to assist in this wedding not only because they were having a brunch wedding complete with Mimosa’s, Bloody Mary’s and Donuts!! But also because it was the first time I was able to work at Bloom Lake Barn. We rarely get hired for Barn wedding, but they are always some of my favorite, After all, I did grow up on a farm!
Rachelle and Pete really wanted to do things different then the typical Saturday night wedding and having a brunch wedding allows you to really be creative and customize all of the little details to be a reflection upon your style and personalities! I was also lucky enough to get to work with Kelly Birch for the first time… What a talented photographer and such a fun person to be around! Thank you to all of the vendors that made this wedding truly a Sunday Funday!
