Hannah and Ryan’s wedding day was nothing short of spectacular! The Machine Shop in Northeast Minneapolis provided the stunning setting for their September celebration. Hannah looked FLAWLESS in her Hayley Paige wedding dress complete with the most stunning sleeves I have ever seen! All of the vendors pulled together to make this wedding a memorable day! From hanging greenery and lights by PHOS, to Hanging Swings for our photobooth (Yes, swings!!) there were a lot of classic and unique elements incorporated into their celebration! Sadie’s Floral created the perfect mix of light and summery floral with little touches of burnt orange to give the wedding a fall feel. Damico Catering once again provided a wonderful meal complete with an ice cream sundae bar!

Its couples like Hannah and Ryan that really make my job so much fun! I enjoyed every meeting with them and Hannah and I often found ourselves talking for hours and losing track of time and the tasks at hand!! I am so thankful for social media these days.. It makes me still feel connected to all of my past couples long after their wedding days!!

A’BULAE Wedding Planner

Ashley and Micheal were married on a Sunny and HOT August day on the rooftop of A’bulae in Downtown St. Paul! It was a beautiful and intimate wedding that featured one of the most stunning dresses I have EVER seen!! Ashley had a very clear vision of what she wanted her wedding day to look like and I was lucky enough to work with her to pull all of her ideas together to create the seamless vision for decor and for the flow of the day!! With the help of some wonderful vendors below we were able to take a classic wedding design and add lots of fun elements such as unique food stations, chocolate dipped desserts and a full floral photobooth backdrop for guests to capture their memories of the day!

Allie and Daniel picked one of my favorite venues to get married at this past October.. Lafayette Club! Not only do I live close by the venue, but I am a big fan of golfing and the lake… so this venue combines all of my favorites perfectly!!

Just when I thought I could not love the club anymore, they decided to give the event spaces a fresh coat of paint, new carpet and lots of beautiful tweaks that really brightened up the space! The new decor was a perfect compliment for Allie and Daniel’s wedding decor! The couple wanted to bring in their love of wine and Tuscany throughout their wedding decor. We incorporated wine corks, wine boxes, an antipasto station and lots of sprigs of olive!

The wedding day was perfect and I love looking at Allie and Daniel’s infectious smiles!!! One reason the day went so perfectly was because of Allie’s mom, Mary!! This lady was a planning queen!! There was not a detail that was thought through and Allie and Daniel were lucky to have her on their planning team to take some of the decisions off of their plate!!

Machine Shop Minneapolis Wedding

This is the season of thanks and as you can probably tell from my last blog post, I have been thinking about that a lot this year. There is a perception that wedding season slows down in the winter months. While the weddings every weekend do slow down, it is the time of the year that we are in back to back meetings with the florists, stationery designers, tasting cakes, booking bands. You get the point 🙂 So while there is never really an “off” time around Lasting Impressions… I am always so thankful for a few more days at my desk to look through photos of the weddings from Summer, organize my files and just thank god for giving me a job that I adore!!!

So on the topic of people I adore, I want to share with you Kim and Alec’s wedding!! This family has a special part of my heart for many years! I first met the Saunders when I got to help Mindy and Ryan plan their special day and then a few years later I got the call that Rachel and Billy were getting married  and then shortly after that Kim and Alec started to plan their big day!! Kim and Alec were not only wonderful to work with, but they were super decisive. Busy careers and coaching schedules left little time for meetings and deliberation. Kim and Alec did a great job of trusting their vendors and with Mother of the Bride Debbie at the helm, there was not a detail missed. 

The weather may not have cooperated as much as we would have wished, but the rain did stop for just long enough to get some beautiful photos in downtown Wayzata and downtown Minneapolis! The couple picked the Machine Shop for their reception venue and wanted a really light and airy decor. Mixing in hanging lights, greenery and light blue fabrics we created a really summery fresh feel.  

To say that I am sad that this is the last wedding for the family is an understatement.. but I will always cherish all of my planning with them and luckily, I get to run into them every once and a while at weddings!

I am just arriving back from a Thanksgiving Trip back home and it is always one of those trips that I come home refreshed and reflective of all of my blessings! 2018 has been another wonderful year filled with so much love, creativity and the hard work of hundreds and hundred of vendors and for that I am forever grateful!!  We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families!!

Now onto Demi and Ryan’s Beautiful wedding day!!! This one of many weddings we have a privilege of planning at Aria with a including Russell Heeter and Landon Oldenburger! 

Demi and Ryan hired us a year before their wedding and when they hired us, they already had most of their vendors reserved. Luckily for me, Demi had hired some of the best vendors in town and the rest of the planning was a dream! Because the couple lives out in Massachusetts we condensed all of our Decor and Design meetings into one big trip back into town and did all of the rest of the planning remotely! When the big day arrived, everything came together perfectly.. the only thing we could not predict was the ninety degree September weather! But even through all of the sweat, we had such a great time celebrating with this fantastic couple!

When Grace first called me about assisting her with her fall wedding, I was skeptical I would have enough time to be able to fully assist her planning a wedding in a few short months. But the more details that Grace told me about.. the more I realized I needed to be a part of this day.. and after all.. the wedding was at a Horse Farm… She pretty much had me at Horse Farm 🙂

Grace is a competitive rider that recently moved to Minnesota to be with her fiancé Chris. She quickly found a great stable for her hobby and created wonderful friendships with the owner of the farm and the rest is history (and one beautiful fall wedding!!)
